Also the shape can be reconstructed from the skeleton representation by taking an inverse skeleton transform. This paper proposes a skeleton tree structure for e cient shape representation. In our proposed skeleton tree structure, the sensitivity to boundary noise is reduced by employing a hierarchical tree representation. High-level nodes describe parts of coarse trunk of the object and low-level nodes describe ne details. Each low-level node re nes the shape of the parent node. Most of the noise disturbances are limited to the bottom levels.
